Bad Breath Embarrassment

Checking for Bad Breath

Do you have bad breath?

It’s more than just embarrassing.

Having bad breath is more than just an embarrassment; it can be a sign of health problems. If you or a family member have chronic bad breath (halitosis), or if you notice a sudden change, then contact our office for a consultation. You may be experiencing problems with your dental health.

Possible Causes

Bad breath can have a range of causes, some more serious than others. In general, poor oral hygiene is the most likely cause, but other potential problems include advanced tooth decay or periodontal disease. Both conditions will not clear up on their own, so be sure to contact a dentist for treatment options.

Treatment for Bad Breath

After an initial consultation and examination, we may provide a deep cleaning (especially if it has been a while since your last appointment). We’ll also schedule another appointment to repair any damage or tooth decay that may be present. Treatment might include cavity fillings, or a dental crown to restore your teeth.

If periodontal disease is present, we may recommend additional cleaning appointments in the near future to get your mouth back into proper health.

Don’t live with bad breath any longer! We’re here to discover the root cause, then help improve and maintain your oral health. It’s not just a matter of dentistry, but the health and well-being of your body and mind!
